The Nomos 1 family of movements is based on the Peseux 7001, currently produced by ETA. Over time, Nomos moved from a basic 7001 to add their own modifications, starting with a Triovis regulator, then hacking seconds mechanism, and finally Glashütte three-quarter plate design. In 2005, Nomos began manufacturing their own movement rather than using the ETA plates and wheels, resulting in the Nomos Alpha family.
