The Zenith was a pocket watch movement designed in the 1890s by the Le Locle watchmaking firm of Georges Favre-Jacot. He considered it to be the best possible movement and decided to focus the entire company on it. This shift caused issues between Favre-Jacot and the board, which insisted on continuing to sell previous movements, especially un-sold inventory. Ultimately this lead to the ouster of Favre-Jacot from his own company, which was taken over by his son-in-law and nephew Jämes Favre in 1911.
