Cal. SZ04 is a regulator movement developed in-house by Sinn based on the ETA/Unitas 6498-1 ebauche. This was the first (and so far only) Sinn SZ movement based on an ebauche other than the 7750 automatic chronograph.
Sinn focused on development of a classic regulator movement based on the proven hand-winding Unitas 6498 ebauche. Sinn also added numerous technical modifications, including a Glucydur screwed balance, the Triovis fine adjustment system, and a Nivarox 1 balance spring. The movement was finished with Geneva stripes and blued screws.
This movement was introduced at BaselWorld in 2006 in the Sinn Model 6100 Regulateur line.
