Cal. 9015 is part of the Cal. 9000 series and is a newer design launched in 2010 with a slimmer profile and faster operation than the previous Cal. 8215. Citizen had discussed the Cal. 9000 series in 2009 but Cal. 9015 was officially launched at BaselWorld in the Spring, with first shipments in July or August 2010.
This movement is available with different date wheels with text oriented for display at 3:00 or 6:00, black on white or white on black, and placement of the crown at 2:00 or 3:00.
Crown at 3:00 Date at 3:00 | Crown at 3:00 Date at 6:00 | Crown at 2:00 Date at 6:00 | |

The movement can be manually wound with the crown in position 1. Rotate the crown clockwise to wind the mainspring.
The date wheel is advanced with the crown in second position (one notch out). Turn the crown counter-clockwise to advance the date wheel by one day.
The date should not be adjusted between 20:30 and 2:00. Doing so may damage the movement.
The time is set with the crown in third position (pulled all the way out). Rotate the crown clockwise to advance the minute and hour hands and counter-clockwise to turn them backward.
