Cal. 9160 is a tuning fork movement produced by Ebauches SA under license from Bulova. Based on the Bulova Accutron design and designed by Accutron designer Max Hetzel, Cal. 9160 was one of the ESA “Mosaba” family of movements and was included in the “Swissonic” line of electronic movements in the early 1970s.
Cal. 9160 was closely related to Cal. 9162 (date) and Cal. 9164 (day/date) but had no calendar module. Introduced in 1968, it is the only Mosaba movement that was not widely used and did not have an ebauche version produced by one of the related companies.
