Nomos 1 Family

The Nomos 1 TSDPG was the most complicated Nomos 1 family movement, with a special power reserve indicator

The Nomos 1 family of movements is based on the Peseux 7001, currently produced by ETA. Over time, Nomos moved from a basic 7001 to add their own modifications, starting with a Triovis regulator, then hacking seconds mechanism, and finally Glashütte three-quarter plate design.

By 2001, Nomos was advertising this movement as “new” and renamed as the “Nomos 1” to differentiate it. Previously, it was always referred to as the ETA/Peseux 7001, even with Nomos modifications. In 2005, Nomos began manufacturing their own movement rather than using the ETA plates and wheels, resulting in the Nomos Alpha family.

The Nomos 1 was also produced without a three-quarter plate
