Magic Lever is the trademark name for a novel bi-directional winding system from Seiko. First appearing in the Gyro Matic in 1959, the Magic Lever consists of two arms that alternately push or pull a gear using opposing pawls. It is found on many classic and modern Seiko automatic movements.
