Cal. 8L38 is an automatic watch movement produced by Seiko’s Shizukuichi Watch Studio for the Galante brand from 2010 through 2015. It was based on the Grand Seiko Cal. 9S55 which was produced at the same time but has been phased out since 2010. The Galante Cal. 8L36 was similar but added a GMT complication.
Cal. 8L38 was designed for the “open heart” Galante SBLL models, which showed the balance between 10 and 11 on the dial.
