ML 106

Maurice Lacroix Cal. ML 106 is a hand-winding column wheel chronograph movement based on the Venus 175 design. It is identical to the Cal. ML 36, which the company openly admitted was based on the Venus 175, and illustrated with the same image on the company’s website in the 2000s. Like the Venus Cal. 175, it features a two-subdial design, though Cal. ML 106 features a 60-minute counter at 3:00 rather than a 30- or 45-minute counter. It is also extensively updated, with a swan neck regulator, Glucydur balance, and decorations including gold chatons and blued screws. Unlike Cal. ML 36, it has 20 jewels instead of 23 and uses KIF Ultraflex instead of Incabloc shock protection.

The similar ML 106-2 has a modern design with PVD coated plates and different finishing. Both were used on the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Le Chronographe in the 2000s. The ML 106-7 is a skeletonized version with 30 minute chronograph register and it remains in production as of 2019.
