Cal. BVL 328 is an automatic integrated chronograph movement from Bulgari. The company refers to it as “Velocissimo” in marketing materials. Although Bulgari often suggests that this movement was an in-house design, it is in fact based on the famous El Primero design from LVMH sister company, Zenith.
Cal. BVL 328 is an advanced high-beat movement, with a silicium escapement ticking at 5 Hz (36,000 A/h). It uses a column wheel to operate the chronograph mechanism, and this is visible just past 6:00 on the back.
Bulgari uses Cal. BVL 328 in the Octo L’Originale chronograph watch line. It was introduced in 2014 and continues in production as of 2020.
