ETA’s Cal. 1170 family was a compact movement typically used in ladies watches. The 7.75 ligne movements were all hand winding, while the larger movements were automatic. The movements were equivalent to Eterna’s Cal. 1195.
The automatic winding system used in Cal. 1216 and similar movements was ETA’s early “Etarotor” system, shared with Cal. 1256 and the similar mid-sized Cal. 1306 and 1310.
